Whether it was knocking on doors, sending emails, making phone calls, writing a check, or hosting house parties…. we are so grateful for everyone who lent their time and energy to support the Luther, Catanzaro, Elbin campaign. Thanks also to everyone who voted to support us on Election Day.

Though the outcome of the election is disappointing, there is still a lot of work to be done in Parsippany. We hope that you’ll all continue to stay informed about local decisions and involved in our community.

To the Editor:

From Section 334 of the Parsippany Troy Hills Municipal Code:

No campaign material shall be affixed upon any public place. Posting on public places is prohibited. The fact that the Republican candidates for mayor and council choose to ignore this law, or can’t control their supporters, calls into question their ability to run a town government. Do they only obey laws when and if they are convenient for them? Are they ignorant of the law? If they can’t control their own supporters, how would they be able to control the many town employees?

Daily Record Endorses Mayor Luther

The Daily Record has “cast their vote” to re-elect Mayor Luther. Citing his experience, competence, and ability to rise above the usual party politics. They wrote, ”Luther’s strength is his knowledge of government and how it works.”

In sharp contrast, they categorized Barberio as unwilling to provide specifics on how to tackle challenges in Parsippany: ”Rather than set forth innovative proposals on key issues, Barberio has shown a tendency to talk about forming committees, or the like, just about every time an issue pops up. ”

Catanzaro Endorsed by Democrats 2000

Annelise Catanzaro received endorsement this week from Democrats 2000! This organization supports serious candidates 40 and younger who are pursuing elected office at the local, county, or state level in New Jersey.

“I’m truly honored to have been selected by Dems2000 to be one of their 2009 Recommended Candidates!” said Catanzaro. “A critical component of our campaign in Parsippany has been the young student volunteers who help to get out the vote making phone calls and speaking with voters door-to-door. It’s wonderful to also have support from one of the premier political organizations for younger candidates in NJ. Thank you!”
